English Description
Apocalypse: Les Plus Grands Naissent Posthumes is a fully painted French graphic novel by artist Loïc Malnati.
Following an apocalyptic event that has left the world in ruins, the last of humanity battles against a kingdom of darkness. In this devastated landscape, survivors, guided by the governor Abbadon, take refuge in a giant rocky crevasse known as the "Great Pit." They are hunted by hordes of bloodthirsty cyclopes and other demonic creatures led by "the sacrificed," men who have been chosen by the forces of darkness and turned into demon-vampires. The story centers on a young woman named Païli, who seems to be destined to liberate humanity, and her complicated, tragic relationship with a mysterious and beautiful "sacrificed" man named Alice.
This 2008 publication is notable for its technique, with each page produced using ink and acrylic on Bristol board, a process that resulted in a book of original art rather than standard comic book pages. The book is in excellent condition. Please be advised that this work contains graphic nudity and violence.
