Classic beginner's method from 1921. This book is a helpful introduction to drawing for kids and adults. The author, Edwin Lutz, also wrote a book on animation that greatly influenced the young Walt Disney.
Lutz's method involves using straight lines and geometric shapes to construct a form. The examples involve realistic and caricatured humans, animals, houses in perspective, and whimsical caricature, all evoking the period 100 years ago.
The presentation concludes with a 50 page supplement extracting sensible drawing advice from Lutz's other book Practical Drawing.
